Amsterdam With Love, Part 1

Last week I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Amsterdam with all of my Parisienne girls: Lili, Katia, Cam, and Thevy. We had a sleepover the night before in Paris and left very early to drive to Amsterdam to arrive early before check in. We stayed the first night at the very cool and trendy Hotel V. It’s such a beautiful and comfortable hotel located within walking distance of the redlight district. We got to the hotel, valeted our car, then walked around exploring before we checked in. We had a suite that was beyond amazing!

The first day when we arrived it was raining, but that’s something I really loved about Amsterdam last summer when I visited. I’m a huge fan of overcast weather. Katia and I grabbed an espresso and just watched the rain while the girls were napping, then we all went to explore together and stopped at a coffee shop, and some cool shopping places. The hotel rooms were so cozy and sweet. I actually had to come back for a moment of solitude and rest to just enjoy and take a cat nap.  I loved the library in the lobby of the hotel, too. I want to have a library/office like this someday.

We ended the first night together strolling around the red light district and stopped at one of my favorite coffee shoppes in Amsterdam, Prix d’Ami, and chilled for a bit. Amsterdam is really beautiful at night in the summer time and the weather is perfect. On the way back I grabbed some Wok Inn chinese food to-go, and then we all went back to the hotel to call it a night.
